1.        High school diploma or equivalent

2.        Completion of Ophthalmic Technician training and certification as a certified Ophthalmic Technician by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO).

3.        2 – 4 years of related Opthalmic experience

4.        Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures within Opthalmic field.

5.        CPR certification

6.        Effective communication skills

7.        Ability to work under pressure and adapt to medical situations
