High volume General Ophthalmology practice with two M.D.'s, in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, seeks an experienced surgery scheduler to join our team.  The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in ophthalmology surgery scheduling.  Strong communication and organizational skills along with ability to multi-task are essential in this fast paced environment.  Job duties include:

Scheduling surgeries and procedures at various hospitals and in-office for two surgeons.  A third surgeon will be added in 2010.

Complete surgical orders for the physicians, collect consents and forms from patients, answer patient questions, and book surgery times, building professional relationships with the surgery department hospital staff, and obtaining insurance authorizations and verifications.

Other administrative duties to support our doctors and staff in managing high quality patient care and efficient and effective daily clinic operations.

High School Education or equivalent

Reliable and dependable work record

Ability to pay attention to details, multi-task and manage in a fast paced high volume practice

At least two years of ophthalmic surgery scheduling experience

Excellent interpersonal and team skills

Ability to work well with an elderly patient population
